Or, if you choose, you are welcome to bring your own tent or hammock to use nearly anywhere on our 17-acre facility. You’ll have housing options including living with fellow students in a “tent city” environment, complete with bed, shower, kitchenette, wi-fi, and 24-hour access to an on-site classroom. The on site component of this training takes place at the NCOAE campus.Students will participate in at four (4) 12-hour shifts on the back of an ambulance, including emergent and non-emergent calls.This course meets all requirements of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Emergency Medical Technician curriculum, AND the State of North Carolina EMT curriculum.
